From Tech to Table
- 500-backed FarMart has become India’s largest AgriFood output platform across their farm, processed, and private label business.
- How? By embedding AI at the core of their business operations.
The team leverages AI to match enterprise buyers with high-quality and consistent food supply, becoming a reliable supply chain partner that enables businesses to scale up sustainably. - Today, FarMart connects over 3.8 million farmers and 1,100 food-processing units to 3,000 institutional buyers across India, the Middle East, and Africa. Over 85% of FarMart’s revenue comes from businesses in sectors such as FMCG, BioFuels, AlcoBev, and Animal Nutrition.
- With AI at its core, FarMart can now forecast demand more precisely and coordinate supply more smoothly, reducing volatility in the food chain and ensuring that goods move reliably from farms to markets without unnecessary delays.
- The company is piloting a smart, always-on assistant that acts like a real-time intelligence partner for farmers, processors, and buyers, making it easier to track prices, follow shipments, manage accounts, and identify new business opportunities through simple, natural conversations.
- Early users of this assistant reported making faster, more confident decisions, while cutting back on their dependence on brokers or outdated market updates that used to slow them down.
- FarMart plans to publicly launch their AI-powered product by the end of this year, with support for regional languages and voice-first features.
