Q. How is the 500 Founder Academy different from previous 500KOBE accelerators?
A. As the ecosystem evolves, we continue to evolve. Through understanding what founders need and how the City of Kobe and 500 can help them grow, we know the importance of continued engagement and education. Through our carefully curated and selected training videos, we’ll be providing 4 weeks worth of content to the selected startups. Each week then ends with an Ask-Me-Anything session with a 500 selected speaker who has expertise in the week’s content. This session allows startups to ask questions relating to the topic in a closed-door setting.
As this is a program designed for startups who can do independent learning, there will be no one-on-one mentorship.
Q. Does it cost to participate in the program?
A. The program is free of charge.
Q. What language will be used? Do you offer language support?
A. The program will be primarily conducted in English, but lecture videos will be subtitled in Japanese.
Q. Will I receive investment by participating in the program?
A. Although the program does not offer financial support or investments, phase 3 of the program is centered around capital growth know-hows and investor management. This is aimed at providing startups with an understanding of general capital attraction fundamentals and best practices.
Q. Do I have to stay in Kobe during the program?
A. The entire program will be conducted online, so there is no need for you to stay in Kobe. You can join us from anywhere in the world!
Q. Can we participate in the program while running daily business operations?
A. Attending a founder program comes with trade-offs. We know from past experience that it is possible to continue running your ventures while you attend our programs. This said, we do expect participating startups to put in the hours and commit to the lessons provided.
Q. Can you take into account time differences?
A. As all the lecture videos are accessible online, participating startups are free to manage their time commitments throughout the 4 weeks based on their own schedules. For the AMA sessions, they will be conducted in the Japan time zone (+9 GMT) or possibly other time zones depending on where most participants are based.

Q.「500 Founder Academy」プログラムは過去のプログラムとどう違いますか。
A. スタートアップ・エコシステムが進化するにつれ、私たちも進化し続けます。我々は、これまでのプログラムで「起業家が何を必要としているのか」、「我々がどのように起業家の成長を支援できるか」を学び、継続的な関与と教育の重要性を理解しています。
今年のプログラムでは厳選されたトレーニングビデオを通して、選ばれたスタートアップに4週間分のコンテンツを提供します。また、各週末、その週のコンテンツに精通した500のスピーカーによる「Ask-Me-Anything」セッションを開催します。このセッションでは、スタートアップがクローズドで質問を行うことができます。
なお、本プログラムは自主学習が可能なスタートアップを対象としているため、1対1のメンタリングはありません。
Q. 参加費はかかりますか？
A. 本プログラムは無料でご参加いただけます。
Q. 言語は何語が使われますか？また、言語サポートはありますか？
A. プログラムは原則として英語で実施されますが、講義ビデオには日本語字幕が付きます。また、メンタリングには同時通訳(英語⇔日本語)のサポートを行います。
Q.このプログラムに参加することで投資は受けられますか？
A. 本プログラムでは、資金面での支援や投資は行いませんが、プログラムのフェーズ3では、資本調達のノウハウや投資家との関係性のマネジメントを中心に講義を提供します。これは、一般的な資本誘致の基礎知識やベストプラクティスをスタートアップ企業に理解してもらうことを目的としています。
Q. プログラム期間中神戸に滞在する必要はありますか？
A. 全プログラムをオンラインで実施しますので、神戸に滞在する必要はございません。世界中どこからでも参加が可能です。
Q. フルタイムで仕事をしながら、同時に事業を運営しながら参加することは可能ですか？
A.ファウンダープログラムへの参加には、トレードオフがつきものです。過去に数多くのプログラムを運営してきた経験から、プログラムに参加しながらベンチャー企業の経営を続けることは可能だと考えています。とはいえ、参加するスタートアップには、ある程度の時間を費やし、提供されるレッスンにコミットすることを期待しています。
Q. 時差は考慮してもらえますか？
A. すべての講義ビデオはオンラインで視聴できますので、参加者はご自身のスケジュールに合わせて自由に時間を調整していただけます。AMAセッションは、日本時間（+9 GMT）で行う予定ですが、参加者の居住地の割合によっては他のタイムゾーンで行われる場合もあります。
