Brendan Herron is currently Senior Counsel leading M&A and Strategic Transactions for Uber. Prior to this role, he was with Google serving on their M&A and Investments Council. In that role, he provided Deal counsel for M&A team on acquisitions, investments, spin-outs and divestitures. 

Prior to this, he was an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in the firm’s SOMA office, a collaborative workspace that serves entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses, as well as the angel and venture capital investors that fund them.

Brendan’s practice focuses on representing and advising tech start-ups, early-stage and emerging companies, founders, venture capital funds, and angel investors on corporate and business issues, including venture financings, strategic transactions and M&A, technology transactions, and high-value commercial deals.

Prior to joining the firm, Brendan spent time at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago, where he represented private equity funds and their portfolio companies in M&A transactions, IPOs, leveraged buyouts, take-privates, restructurings, and other strategic transactions, and Silicon Legal Strategy in San Francisco, where he represented start-ups and venture capital and angel investors in venture financings, M&A, and corporate matters.
